As you're probably aware, Smash Bros. Brawl lets you take snapshots of gameplay, stickers, trophies, and more. Starting today, you can save these snapshots to an SD card and upload them to your Smash Boards profile.

First, after you've taken your snapshots and saved them to an SD card, connect the SD card to your computer. You'll find the snapshots in the following directories on the SD card, depending on the version of Brawl that you have:

  • \private\wii\app\RSBE\al\ (North American)
  • \private\wii\app\RSBJ\al\ (Japanese)
  • \private\wii\app\RSBP\al\ (PAL)
Next, go to your User CP. On the left, under Networking, go to "Pictures & Albums," and then click "Add Album". Give your album a title and a description, and save it. You can create multiple albums to store your snapshots and categorize them as you see fit.

After you've created an album, you can upload snapshots. At the upload screen, browse your computer for the snapshots you want to upload, and once you've selected them, click "Upload Pictures". The snapshots will be uploaded to your album, and you'll be able to add captions and select an album cover. If you have more snapshots to upload than there are upload slots, you can upload more snapshots to the same album by using the "Upload Pictures" button in your album.

Your public albums will appear in your profile in a box to the right, along with your Friends and created stages. You can leave comments on a user's snapshots and, if you like, can add snapshots that you've uploaded to a social group that you're a member of.

At the moment, albums only support snapshots generated by Brawl itself (files ending in ".bin"). If you encounter a problem trying to upload a snapshot, please send me a PM (with a link to the original .bin file, if possible).

Thanks, and enjoy.

EDIT: I made a sample album that you can check out if you like.
