What do you all think about Smash bros introducing a Partner assist attack?
What do i mean by this?
It'd almost be a hybrid of Marvel vs. Capcom 1 & Mario Kart double dash.
Each character would have a dedicated partner that can be called upon to perform an attack.
This "assist" for balance reasons i think should have a limit, but that's open for debate.
Now, in addition to this, if the Smash ball attack remains, they could also have a partner smash attack.
Most people wouldn't go for this, but i think it opens up the roster for new faces while still holding onto some old ones.
i.e
Character - Partner
Mario - Luigi
Fox - Falco
Bowser - Baby bowser
Ness - Lucas (or vice versa)
kirby - ( switches between his multiple friends from Dreamland 3)
Link - Zelda
Peach - toad (or even daisy)
Yoshi - Birdo
OR
to be more like double dash, during battle you could switch to your partner tag style, in similar fashion to pokemon trainer. However i feel this route would leave less room for roster space.
Idk, just thinking of something new that can be brought to smash this gen, as I'm sure nintendo is aiming towards.
