Internet connection radomly broke?

Few days ago, my comp's internet connection randomly crapped out, and I can't go online, AIM, ect. All the other computers still work but mine =( (I'm on sister's comp atm lol). The Ethernet cable is plugged in, and is flashing so I'm assuming that's not it.

Can anybody help me? I'm not very good with computers.

You didn't change any settings or anything that might have triggered it? If not then it could be a bad cable... if you have another cable lying around then try it.

Nope, I got home one day and it just didn't work. It worked fine the night before.

Pretty sure the cable isn't the issue, I already tried replacing it =(

Sounds like you might have a virus, the exact same thing has happened to me before.

Download a fully updated anti-virus software (I recommend A-Squared or Avg) installer, and put it on a flash drive or disk. Take it to the other computer, install it, and scan the computer to see if a virus is your problem.

If that's not it, idk how to help.

Okay I read back over your situation and it sounds like it's something wrong with the computer and not your network or internet.
I'm not sure what's wrong because I don't have enough info, are there any error messages or anything that pop up anywhere?
