Smash 3DS Interesting Online Matches

I don't have any personally, but I was wondering if anyone has any interesting or funny stories to tell about their experiences on For Fun / For Glory. Dumb mistakes you or an opponent did, ridiculously laggy matches, etc. Anyone?

I had a couple Macs, due from inexperience just way overshot their overhead punches to their deaths multiple times.

One of them switched to my main, Mega Man, and was actually pretty okay at him- but he soon found out that Mega Man's down smash is really slow, so I blew him up with a fully charged side smash...

I played against a guy like 6 matches, on the last one we ended up with a Mario mirror. He killed me and did the Mario taunt not remembering that Mario's taunt was extremely long. Jump off the cloud and smash him for the win.

I was Mario vs a Jiggs, took her first stock with 0% on me, the next stock she just jumped off and used Sing. :D

I had a very instense 1v1 For Glory with a great ZSS player, until on her last stock she dove off the stage with her down-a. Whoops.

For my very first For Glory match, i was really hoping i could walk away saying "i won my first for glory match i ever played." Well i was Charizard facing a Lil Mac. Welp, that lil mac straight rocked me for my first stock. Then, i found out about flare blitz. Long story short, i wrecked him with a lot of flare blitzes

I was playing Dark Pit (I play him for the giggles) on a for glory match and as me and this greninja were in a last stock, I made it look like I was about to fall to my death so the greninja got cocky and down aired to where I was, which then I recovered back up and he fell to his death.

Not this game, but I remember people just taunting in Brawl. Nothing, but taunts and the match ends.

I had great battles with a player named Freeze. We had pretty intense matches for about 2 hours (for glory). At first we played a couple of matches with our mains, and then mixed it up playing through the whole character roster. Those games were all pretty close, and we closed the series with a round of Ganondorf dittos. Those were the best cause it was like playing against a mirror. Though having very different playstyles with all the other characters, we both went straight to the face with ganondorf, often colliding with the exact same attacks and trying the same sort of mindgames.
Too bad there's no way to just add people you met randomly online. Would definitely play again.

Yesterday I played a few games against a Little Mac that couldn't stop killing himself. He was almost certainly better than me, but I kept winning because he would dive right off the edge with that punch every 30 seconds. The poor guy just couldn't keep his feet on the stage.

On an unrelated note, I'm impressed at the general etiquette on display by the vast majority of players that I run into. Most of them refrain from throwing a taunt at me after a kill, and the number of people that will hurl themselves into the abyss to even things up after an obvious SD is simply heartwarming.

I played against a Greninja who accidentally d air suicided twice in under a minute and then quit the match. Also, so many bad Little Mac players. Sooooooo many.
Also, JV 3 stocked an Ike with DHD. I was proud of that one

Hope these sets were with someone from here. Played some of my favorite For Glory sets this morning. They started Sheik against my Mac, I took 2 games to their 1. They switched for the Mac ditto and we played probably 10 close Mac matches which they bested me in about 7-4 games. Makes me love this game so much

I also found one of my best matches this morning, the person I've played more in a row than anyone else. We started with many, many games of my Lucina vs their Shulk. Eventually I tried out my Palutena and Pikachu and some others. At some point I killed myself to even the match after an SD fumble, but then they returned the favor after getting a clean kill on me, so from there we just started SD'ing after the first kill to play the last stock evenly. It was great, and we were a perfect match I think... although it took me way too long to get used to their Samus. It seems like we must have done 30-40 matches. I kinda wish the 3DS friend list had a 'recently played with' function like the Wii U.

I had a fun match with a pikachu player. It was pretty even throughout, but i ended up winning it with an ike forward smash when he used rocket to get back on stage.
A funny one i had this morning is when i SD'd twice because launching yourself with PK thunder will not grab the ledge, instead bounce off.

I can't say much about this yet I've been winning most of my matchessay as megaman about me winning 90% of matches just from noobs picking characters they don't know how to play. The game is to new to really have any matches of note.

But from what I've played megaman is a really good counter to sonic.

So.... i just had the most interesting event happen as Megaman.

Mirror match, shockingly enough. We both got up to 100% damage or so, 1 stock left, and both did a full megablaster charge shot thinking it would cancel each other out. Nope, we actually had a draw. A legitimate DRAW because we blasted each other at the same time rofl
Apparently megaman's charge shot doesnt counter megaman's charge shot, they just pass by lol

That's so frustrating and embarassing as a Zamus player, trust me, experience xD

I won with the Wii Fit Trainer when all I was doing is messing around in For Fun Smash I laughed out loud when I discovered I bet everyone else when they were actually trying to win and I wasn't.
