Interesting Falco (User) counter-stage consideration?

Rainbow Cruise (I believe it's called that.. don't scold me on it) is a counter-pick stage, right? Eggz, Jamo, and myself are going SF:E in Oregon this weekend, and atleast for this tournament, you can counter pick with it in singles.

Rainbow Cruise, if you are on a tough offensive, seems like they would stance no chance. You even have a few chances to get an easy spike off. I've only played here once with Falco in a ditto, but, what do you think of A falco player using Rainbow Cruise as their counter-pick when losing a match?

I personally despise this level as Falco. I almost always switch to Sheik or Fox...

I suppose it could be good for some matchups but typically it's a Peach/Samus/Marth player bringing me here, and I don't like those matchups, especially not there... but I dunno.

Well, as long as you're spending time practicing on that particular stage you should be fine(e.g. Foward and Jungle Japes). And yes, that stage is a counter-pick.

It's fine, I like it against Peach for the low ceilings. Make some good use of your firefox here too, I think that move is underrated as a movement technique lol (but not too much underrated)

Yes, firefox is nder-rated, but it is a good ceiling killing move with it's power of oppposition has high %.

nobody in tournament has taken me to rainbow cruise b4 after a loss; i've only been taken to pokefloats, but I think pokefloats and rainbow cruise are similar enough to say that I don't much care for them as a falco player.

also, I don't play competitive melee too much, but are there "Advanced Slob Picks" like in ssb64?

I love rainbow cruise, it all comes down to preference. The main falco counterpicks are corneria poke floats and rainbow cruise.

Having options is always good however from my experience one of the first 2 are stricken much more often than RC by players.

Cruise is better for Falco IMO because there are more vertical sections and less platforms that block lasers.

The second best smasher in Norway, Tonberry, uses this counterpick. He knows the stage in an out. He got a very tecnical Falco.
