Hey all,

I'm posting to see how many people would be interested in a new series of Brawl Tournaments held at UCLA.

First things first: I'm not Aesis, nor am I posting on behalf of Aesis (I'm not sure what the status of the old monthly series is =/ ).

Anyways, I'd like to see more tournaments at UCLA and my fraternity wanted to hold more fundraising events so I've convinced them to give Smash tournaments at try. Previous UCLA tournaments have been awesome so we're going to try to stick to the old format as much as possible (hopefully even use the same room in Ackerman). These will be the first tournaments we've hosted so we can't promise the awesome efficiency that Aesis had but we'll be doing our best and learning.

The tournaments will most likely be held on Saturdays, be both doubles and singles, and use the standard approved ruleset. I'm definitely open to help and suggestions from the
community.

What I need from you guys are ideas for a good date for the first tournament. Right now I'm thinking January on the 10th or 24th (to avoid conflicting with the UCSD event). Also I need to show a good amount of interest to the frat to make sure these happen so please post!

Gurbir smells like curry.

And his old hallmates bring baller Chinese food.

+1 interested, count me in for a TV and a Wii if these end up happening.

Edit: Far as dates, Jan 10th would be hot.

I'm very interested in a new UCLA series and I would come when I'm able to. Hopefully I'll be going to school there next fall.

A two day event would be awesome, but the chances of getting the room two days in a row are exceedingly slim. Maybe after we've run a few tournaments we can work something out with UCLA to reserve space for a two day event waaayyyy in advance haha.

For reals!? You better visit before then haha.

I was thinking, when you get back, we may actually be able to pull of two day tournaments, if you guys host one day and we host the next. How's that for ideas? :p
