Why does this games online mode have such a lag problem? I've heard if one person has a bad internet connection then it effect everyone but I've played with the same people for a bunch of match's with no problem and then it will start lagging out of nowhere. The worst part is that you have to endure it or be banned for X amount of minutes. I rather play with npc replacements for people who quit mid game every once in a while than deal with this lag.

Not sure if this is the right board for this, and maybe it's just me imagining things; but doesn't it seem the online is much more stable after the latest patch? Again maybe it's just me, but I noticed I've not been getting much lag in games if at all.

Online is online. You tap character's tab on the results screen to see information as to where they are.
I've had clean connections with people from Kansas and even Japan sometimes.
On the flipside, I've had a slide show match with a person from New York that was relying on McDonalds Wifi or something.
More players in a match can lead to increases lag and stuttering of the game.
