Installing?

I have homebrew installed, so I of course chose the first download option. No other apps are installed, so I copy the two folders onto the SD. The launcher works, but loads vanilla, and when I try to update it runs a download then sais an XML file is missing and asks whether or not I'd like to force, no stops it, yes makes it run through a list of items that result in "not found" then says "No Updates available"
Am I missing some files or something?
Edit: It says when the update begins that it's missing a project M info.xml

I tried the Homebrew Option zip(Full set) and things are working. SO I will instead provide website feedback
Why does the first download exist, and why are we not directed to the one that works? I think somethign should be added noting that you need to install the fifth one, or stating whatever it is you need to make the first one useful.

Personally if it was my decision, I'd label the downloads better. The first two by my guess, are the launcher only. They should say that, I would also in the surrounding instructions note that from a blank install you need to download the (full set) download that matches your system setup, homebrew or not and wifi or not.
