Installation support- 16GB SD card return or keep ?

Hello guys, I have a question about installation. I remember my friend was able to successfully install PM on a 8 GB SD card. Before I moved I decided to buy everything I needed to have my own PM set up. I was shoeless at the time of purchase, so I sent my GF at the time in to buy an SD card with 8 gigs or less. Of course she had to buy the 16 GB SD card. Would this work for PM or would I have to return it? I know the site says 2 GBs or less, but I read a thread that said it supports up to 8 GBs and my past experience suggests otherwise. I am using Homebrew as well.

Is your Wii modded? If not then you'll have to use a 2GB or less SD card. You can still buy them at Walmart.

what exactly do you mean by modded? My friend 'hacked' it for me and downloaded homebrew but I'm not sure what that entails completely.

This belongs in the help and support section. Seeing as you said your wii is already hacked and you are using homebrew, you should be able to use that 16GB card just fine.
