Smash 3DS Inserting Smash 3DS cartridge turns off the system

My 3DS was in sleep mode with the game on. It fell out of my jacket pocket less then 2 feet to a hard floor.

Somehow, this caused my copy of smash to make any 3DS it's put in to power on to a black screen if the system is powered on with it in. Putting it in while the system is on actually turns the 3DS off! Tested it on 3 different systems now with the same result.


So even if this was a really strange fluke, it might be worth it to NOT put smash in sleep mode. Particularly if you're prone to dropping things.
