Yo, on and off Smashboards lurker here. Finally decided to actually join the forums.
I've played every Smash as they came out. 64 came at a time where my family couldn't afford new consoles and I got my fill of it playing it at friends houses, never really revisiting it or getting a copy of it myself. While I did really want to play Melee competitively during the time it was a newier game, both my location and age made it so it wasn't really a possibility. Then there was Brawl, which I wasn't the biggest fan of. It wasn't until Smash 4 that I actively tried seeking out a community or people of any sort to play and better myself at Smash.
Really the only thing I played in Melee were Fox. I just loved his speed and overall kit and couldn't get myself to play anything else with any amount of real practice. When Brawl came around I tried jumping straight to Fox but he didn't feel the same at all anymore. I ended up hating him and pretty much dropped him entirely coming to the game. Despite not liking Ness in Brawl, I ended up maining Lucas, though I didn't spend much time on Brawl and it's been a while since I played it. Then comes Smash 4, where I play a ton of Bowser and Little Mac, with a little bit of Mario on the side. It might be the first time in a Smash I had a hard time sticking with one character.
If there are actually any Smashers here in Coeur D Alene/Post Falls Idaho area feel free to hit me up. Really the big push on me coming to this website is the desire to organize tournaments or even just smashfests where I'm at where any sort of scene is practically non-existant, with the only nearby gathering I know being nearly an hour drive into Washington... which might be a thing I start doing given how rare it is to get to play with a new face where I'm at.
