It's ******s like you that make me question the fanbase of this game. I was questioned by one of these ****s on my Melee skills on Google+ after I was fighting a CPU. Now, I understand CPUs are *******, but I only fight them because I know no one else near me who plays Melee. And they insult me, telling me to go back to playing Brawl and Smash 4 (weak, I might add) and ultimately BANNING me from that community! I bring up "elitists" because they ADMITTED that they only played Melee. I do remember one on this site. I don't remember his SB name but I do know his G+ name: Ryan S. Come at me, ***! I'm waiting...

Every community has ****ty people, even Melee's

The thing about online communities is that most users are usually silent. Have a consumer psychology statistic: 90% of users on most sites are lurkers, 9% are semi active, and 1% are active. (Source = consumer psychology textbook). It didn't explicitly state what the experiment defined as active, semi active, nor lurker

Communities in person are less ****ty than communities online. Online anonymity frees people to be as ****ty as they want to be with near 0 repercussions. In person, it's very different. People are much more restrained

Back when Brawl was the newest Smash game, the elitism was even worse. Thankfully it is improving a little

If you encounter any more again, just block them and go. It's the least losing move. They want you to respond. Don't give them that

Seconding this notion. Like, it's obvious he's just a kid, no need to permanently ban him, but, like, come on. He just keeps doing goofy stuff like this. A temp-ban would suffice.
