Is it just me, or has there been a random influx of good marth players on FG over the past week or so? Good spacing, techs, fundamentals, etc. I have to have seen at least 5 or six marths that tipper everything over the past week...

Influx of good marths lately?

A lot of people have been noticing that the skill level of their opponents have been more consistent recently. A lot of people here believe that the matchmaking system has been improved since the last update.
If the amount of Marths have increased recently instead of just the skill level, it is possible that something happened recently that made the character more popular. For example, when Evo announced that customs would be allowed, there was a sudden increase in Palutena players for a few weeks. I don't know if anything happened recently, but if so, it could relate to why Marth is becoming more common.
