Infinite Lives in Subspace

I've cleared it on Intense, so this isn't used for cheating, but is there any way to get infinite or 99 lives in Subspace? Would this be a code, or could I edit the stage files themselves (seeing as there are different amounts of lives you start out with in different stages)?
