InfFace Files Missing

I am trying to add CS files for the brawler image ingame (has percents and stocks next to it) using Brawl Costume Manager. Unfortunately they are not in the PM files, I have tried to add them from external sources, but the game just errors as soon as I enter a battle. Presumably because they conflict with the files already on the disk. I can access them for alternate skins like Roy and Dr.Mario, but any characters already in the game already have them.

I am at a loss of what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

InfFace251 is Lucas' default portrait. It's not in the PM files, because it's unchanged from the default portrait - therefore, there's no need for it to be included in the PM files, as it can just load the default file from Brawl.

You said you can't find InfFace251.brres, but you also said you "tried to add them from external sources". Do you mean you're trying to download a default InfFace251.brres, but can't find one anywhere? What exactly are you doing to "add them from external sources"?

I got a CSP and BP pack
SJS CSPs for Project M 3.02
(it want allow me to post link bc under 10 posts)
and it contained all the InfFace.brres files. I then dragged it into the appropriate folder on my PM SD card. It allowed me to then change the portrait in Brawl Costume Manager. But Whenever I play Lucas, the game bugs.

How would I load the default brawl file, so it can be edited?

...okay, BrawlCostumeManager is just refusing point blank to run for me, so I can't actually test it at the moment. Does it at least run if you use the brres file from the pack unmodified? Or maybe try editing it via BrawlBox instead, and see if that works. (from personal experience BrawlBox is the only tool I trust to insert textures into Brawl files without irreparably corrupting them somehow - maybe it's just me not using them properly, but every "Brawl * Manager" type tool I've used has broken some important file in some way)
