I want to replace a stage with another i found. The thing is that N64 Peach's Castle was made to replace Onett. I want it to replace Rainbow Cruise. It comes with a rel file and that i can place it over any stage with Stage Switcher. Is it possible to just rename the onett.rel file to cruise.rel and place it in the appropriate folder *not sure what folder*? I don't know what Stage Switcher is but i found something called Brawl Stage Module Converter http://www.lakora.us/rel/ is it essentially the same thing? When i use Brawl Stage Converter i assume i just match the Base rel file (Rainbow Cruise) with the To replace file (Rainbow Cruise) and download. Once i get the rel file right all i have to do is rename Onett.pac to Cruise.pac.

It also came with icon pics and name plates and stuff. How do i go about changing the pic and the name and stuff from Rainbow Cruise to Peach Castle so it shows up in game?

Okay so N64 Peach's Castle came with a .rel to replace Onett. That means the base for the stage was NOT Onett because it needs a .rel file. To use lakora.us/rel/ , you need to figure out what the base for the stage was (usually it's final destination, or battlefield). On the website, you would choose the base stage in the left box, and choose Rainbow cruise in the right box. Assuming you have the .pac file for N64 Peach's Castle, just name it STGDXRCRUISE.pac to replace the Rainbow cruise file (put this in projectm/pf/stage).

In order to change the nameplates and stuff you'll need the application brawlbox (there are various downloads online, for all platforms). Once in brawlbox, you'll need to open common5.pac in projectm/pf/system . Inside common5.pac go to the folder misc80 and there should be images for all the stages in there (either that or misc30, I could be mistaken) . To replace the images, just right click on the image and choose 'replace'.

That all should work, as I've replaced stages and stage icons over 30 times.
