In-Depth Tournament Results

I have been searching smashboards, youtube, and even google, and I havnt had any luck.
I'm (hopefully) going to be doing a math project checking for the obvious correlation between the character used and the amount of MLG matches/tournaments won. All I've been able to find is lists of the players who've won. I know the players switch characters from match to match, so maybe I could use every MLG match as data (not just finals). Anyone know where I can get character listings used for either tournament results or maybe even tier construction?

If not, anyone have any ideas for an easier project I could do?
I just have to compare lots of data to check for a relationship (ex= character used VS matches won, or age of player VS matches won- something like that)

If you mean by tier construction, a tier list, then yes, and search Tier list.

And in regard to finding out who used what in finals, try posting in the topics for specific tournaments in tournament discussion.
