What are some of the most notable and drastic changes that the brawl Kirby has over its melee counterpart? Overall, has Kirby improved a lot, or still lacks potential to be good, despite the fact that brawl is much more balanced?

Kirby is actually great in Brawl, he does not lack potential. Also that guide got the priority description wrong, what was described was range.

No, he described priority. In Smash, priority is determined by hitbox range, not attack range. Certain attacks extend outside of the actual attack range allowing you to out prioritize attacks that don't extend outside of the attack range. A good example of this is Peach's Bair in Melee. It had huge priority, its hitbox surrounded her.....backside and extended outside of it. Compare this to Falcon's Knee which had a hitbox that was actually ONLY on the knee, and had a sweet spot that was INSIDE the knee. If these two attacks met and the Peach spaced perfectly, her attack would always win out because despite both attacks seemingly having the same range, Peach's *** has amazing priority.
