EDIT 3: I have played Project M with the Generalized Super Code, and I can safely say that it's not as fun as an "Impossible Mode" would be. You can only cancel with an attack or dodge, not a taunt nor dashing. Impossible Mode would also be able to restrict recovery moves from being repeated off-hit. Somebody, please, make a cleaner, more polished version of the GSC!
EDIT 2: I understand that I am being pointed towards Brawl's GSC codes. However those are very unpolished. You can't cancel into taunts and it allows you to break the victory screen, which is NOT acceptable on my part. I would rather either the mode in the game or for somebody to make a polished code.
EDIT: For those who never saw the original Melee Impossible video, check it out here:
As cool as it is to see Turbo Mode come to Project M as a way to break the game for the sake of fun and an additional level of skill, it disappoints me that the PMBR are keeping it so you can only cancel on-hit. This makes the mode feel a little less fast and seems to appeal more to the absolute hardcore fans who literally ONLY care about hitboxes and all the little things (though it is kind of the point of the mod).
But what if we want to have a really fun party version of this mode that will allow players to cancel ANYTHING without any rules in order to create some really cool, fun, and hilarious casuals? What if we just want to button mash and look really cool and ridiculous for doing it, and feed our hyperactivity? What if we want to be able to know what it's REALLY like to play Melee Impossible?
That's why I propose to the PMBR the option of a SECONDARY Turbo Mode: Impossible Mode (unless you want to call it Brawl Impossible). As I've explained, it basically plays like Melee Impossible did, allowing you to cancel any attack into ANYTHING else, WITHOUT having to hit first, AND on top of that letting you use the same move repeatedly if you desire (it could be seen in both Melee Impossible and Project M's April Fools video). This could make for some really goofy taunting and it could actually make maneuvers like wavedashing faster.
All that would have to be done for this mode is change a bit of coding, change the aura (to differentiate the mode from the Normal version), replace "Reflect" mode with it, and change the name of the "Status" option name to Turbo Type. The two options would be Normal and Impossible.
Who agrees that this would be a cool inclusion on top of the already-nifty, skill-based Normal Turbo Mode?
