If i tried to import Brawl from Japan in January, would it work in my non-modded American Wii? just curious.

no it wouldnt. the wii is reigon locked unless you have a friend in Japan, or a Japanese wii your gonna have to wait those FREAKING long last few days...

I believe not. There was a thread about this a few weeks ago, if I recall correctly. Search is your friend (although you may have searched anyway and not come up with anything. Sometimes that happens for unusual topics).

Wiis are, in fact, region locked. So an import won't work.

Then again, you shouldn't import, anyway. If you want info, you can get it from here. And if you want to play it that badly... well... wait. lol.
