IM trying to get into the Melee scene halp pls

Im not new to smash ive played since i was like 5 but i am now trying to get competitive.
i live in LA and there are no freaking tournaments, there is one but its in a bar.
is traveling out of state worth it for a tournament, like are they that fun?

you don't have to travel out of state for tournaments, especially if you're in california (LA). you can try going to Mayhem next saturday since it's pretty close by
