I'm sorry if this is a stupid question...

I am thinking of downloading Project M and I am worried if there could be any chance of it breaking my Wii, if possible? Again, sorry.

I can't think of anyway it might break your Wii. Although if you want to play Brawl, you have to take the SD out, or weird stuff happens.
I just bought another Wii, so I was able to see how the hackless version works. It uses the Twilight Hack to crash Brawl, then the Project M Launcher to boot it up (correct me if I'm wrong). It shouldn't have any more of a chance of breaking your Wii then any other game.

It's not a dumb question. It was the very first question I wondered as well and what stopped me from downloading it at first.

It won't break your wii, but it will still rack at your nerves until you do it the first or second time.

Just make sure to follow all the instructions on getting it set up properly and once you do it, you'll be having a blast.

Good luck, and if you need any help there's a ton of people here that can assist as well.
