I'm not so sure we should be looking for advanced techs...

Remember E4All, when we all searched for advanced techs?

If memory serves correctly, Gimpy found a new L-Cancel, in which you had to FF before doing the air attack. This got rid of ALL lag.

From what I'm seeing, that isn't here now. Why? I'm guessing it's because Sakurai learned about this glitch and fixed it. The E4All demo was probably there for us to discover glitches for him to fix. We were beta-testing for free.

Now, who's to say he won't do that for the American release? Though it's not as likely, isn't it possible he'll fix some of these glitches we've already discovered?

Just a thought.

EDIT: Nevermind. Ignore this.

Removal of techniques still in the japanese version would be kind of stupid now that we have online play. Just a thought. xO

I suppose, and now that you mention it, multiple versions of Brawl would not work in online.

Never mind. Mods, close this please. >_>

You'd think so, but this is actually false.

In the Japanese version of Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, if you are holding a choice band (or other choice item) and kill a pokemon that switches out against you with Pursuit, you can change your move. This "glitch" does not exist in the American version, but you can still play with the Japanese versions online. This is where my memory gets fuzzy, but if I recall correctly both games will behave in their own way when playing online (so the Japanese player has the advantage).

I'm not saying Brawl will work this way though; I am saying that what you claim is not necessarily true.

Good info. I really don't think it's going to apply to Brawl, but it's the principle that if one Nintendo game can do it, so can another.

Despite it being possible, I doubt they would change anything with the completed game.

However, there's nothing to stop them taking out glitches and exploits using updates, and nothing stopping them from disallowing people without the update from playing online.
