I'm new to competitive, where can i find tourneys or something to begin?

Hey, i want to be in tournaments, the farthest i've gone is For Glory, which is absolutely nothing like the competitive scene, is there a place where i can enter competitive matches? there's little to no competitive scene where i live (I live in Mexico, Jalisco), so i would really appreciate if anyone can tell me how i can start my competitive "career" :D
Also not sure if this goes here, tlel me if it doesn't and i will move it to wherever it's suppose to go c:

Hello there! Yes, this is a poor place to post about finding tournaments I would post it in your Regoinal Zone forum which can be found here: http://smashboards.com/forums/central-and-south-america.127/ to find tourneys I would click on the events tab on the top row hope this helps!

I'd normally point people to the Tournament Listings or the Regional Zones forums, but heck if I know there is close to zero mexican activity down here.
