Anyway, hallo, My name's Aife, I'm a Dark Pit (and Pittoo! -/shot. (okay I literally meant Pit himself, that was a horrendous joke.) main who has been watching the Smash 4 scene for a while. (Ever since the beginning of the said scene.) My interest towards this game has always been steady, and it's only increased as the meta-game developed. I kept getting the urge to actually make an account here, but it always died down due to a multitude of reasons.
The biggest reason is just because I'm already part of a competitive (if you can call it that lmao, maybe I'm being to generous) game elsewhere; I participate in the NA Elsword's tournaments and am a CN main. (That isn't really the best choice if you want to win but soon to come updates may change that, maybe I'll even get somewhere, or maybe I'll still suck, who knows.) And the time I place into that game (mostly because its a friggen MMO and those games are designed to waste your time) makes it hard to feel the motivation to dedicate time specifically to the smashboards or other games. It's even overwhelmed my old pokemon obsession, which is amazing. (although that may be in part due to my little group kind of just...dying out. So sad :/...)
Aside from elsword, I have next to no competitive fighting game experience. (Elsword and Pokemon are the only two games I've ever played competitively.) That lack of history gave me a steep learning curve in Elsword and it still applies somewhat to here; I suck pretty badly at this, getting caught into predictable neutral loops and lacking good judgement calls, but I could probably change that through practice. This is primarily why I feel drawn here (to practice), but due to the above reasons and previous bad experience with other communities. (I tried to join TERA's community back when i showed an interest in it but my thread got no responses, felt kind of discouraged at trying again.) But due to the hype of todays direct, I could not resist trying to say something in a smash focused area. I impulsively made an account (Might be why I named myself Aife instead of my normal username. Don't really regret it but it is a tad weird for me.) just to comment on the direct thread, and...

I really do like Dark Pit/Pit, he's the only character that truly feels right to me in the cast so far. Despite the difference in playstyles and speed, my secondary would be Ike. Aside from that, I can't really find another character I'd want to try. I don't think any of them will take DP/P's place but it'd be nice to have some diversity. (if you have any recommendations please do give them ; v; )
I kind of like Lucario to but if we wanna talk about personal neutral problems, Lucario was a disaster for me. I literally can't figure out what to do with him in neutral before aura gets high, and it makes the neutral boring or annoying throughout most of the match. Maybe if i knew more...:C

I hope you'll love me, and I also hope I can keep on the forums and make more time for the scene, maybe even start getting good. I dunno.
(as side interests, I like anime (personal favorites are pokemon and ranma 1/2, but a couple anime I admire for being "good" are Barakamon and SNAFU, as in I feel they're legitimately good and not just blinded by personal taste.) and certain video game series, and those are generally what I do with my time when it isn't elsword. But I'm trying to get more social I swear ; v;.)
