I'm new here and I main ness and Lucas...

Are they any good, I'm much better with ness but I just want your opinions

I'm not an expert on the metagame or anything (I play casually to semi competitively, as in matches for fun but without items and such), but the word is that while Ness got a lot of buffs he's still not as great as Lucas in the competitive field. I myself use both characters as well, but I did notice I win more consistently with Lucas. At least against my brother, who normally uses Ike, Fox, and Shiek. Only with Lucas and Mario can I beat his Ike.

But again, I'm not that knowledgeable outside of matches with my brother. Hopefully someone else can answer your quandary.

Oh and before I forget you should check out their sections in the Character threads here. In fact this might get moved by a moderator to either Ness' or Lucas' thread.

He's gotten a lot better, is pretty good, in the opinion of most ness players, he's still in the bottom third of the cast. Some go as far as to say he's probably bottom 5-10 due to him having very few advantaged matchups. I recommend going to the Ness Character discussion and getting involved with the Ness skype group if you want to get in on the day to day conversation about his metagame. It's probably the most active place talking about PM Ness.The forum slowed down a lot since the skype group was created.

A new person to the forum might not know how to find the character specific sections. He added links to help out a newbie. So he was being helpful and wasn't being redundant.
