Hello! Ive been playing smash bros since it first came out for the 64. I've been getting more into smash lately and it has been disturbing me that i dont have many friends irl that like smash or nintendo, so i thought i'd try this place out. Link is my fav char in melee and pm, he's been my main since i was a kid, i also like playing as peach and mario, in brawl i like ness, toon link, and peach. I havent played 64 in a while, but hopefully when i have more expendable money i can get myself another 64, or i can at least get it on the virtual console XD I dont consider myself to be a great smash bros player, but when it comes to playing link (on melee and Project M), i can boast that im really good with him. So yeah, hello everyone

*Obligatory Welcome

You and I are very similar. I have also played Smash Brothers since it first came out on the 64. I have to admit, I did not own the game immediately. I would challenge the local punks at the McDonald's kiosk and destroy everyone with Link. At the same time, it has been a VERY long time since I have enjoyed Smash 64. Perhaps I should go back. I became enthralled with Project M and I experience re-invigoration with Brawl. So I have not really considered it up until now.

Nice, i usually play Link with his white outfit, back in the day i used to pretend he went super saiyan when i had that on XD especially when i was playing 64, i watched some youtube videos and now 64 looks too fun and im dying to play it again. I got Project M like a month or 2 ago, and i've been trying to teach myself the pro strats like wavedashing and stuff.

As do I, I have always considered it to be a purple outfit; however, that is my costume of choice. I rarely change it, but I am a fan of OoT, so sometimes I change to the Goron Tunic to honor Death Mountain or the Zoro Tunic to tribute Lake Hylia.

I am fairly new to competitive myself. It is a little overwhelming getting into it at first, but I have somehow managed. I do not attend tournaments, but I intend on being an online warrior. I am content with spectating for the most part. Haha.

I can see the purple too, but its so light that I just consider it white, its whatever though. OoT is awesome, before melee came out I also used to play as link and pretend Capt Falcon was Ganondorf and DK was Ganon and fight them XD I had so much fun as a kid. I played a lot of online brawl matches, mostly with Ness, until they shut down the online support for it, but I still want to fight other people, so I'm going to train and try out some tournaments to test myself.

Ah, I see you enjoy some Triforce of Courage (Link)...I'm all about the Triforce of Power (Ganondorf) :shades: so it seems that we may be at odds.

However, I'll greet you as everyone should be greeted and welcome you to the community with open arms. Hope to catch you around on the forums sometime!

P.S. - We really won't be at odds :p

Welcome!

I've also been playing since 64. I've gotten away from Smash for a while because none of my friends played and I was unaware of the community. All of a sudden my friends are into it so we been playing a lot of 64 and now moving to Melee. We'll move to Smash 4 when it comes out.

Definitely great to see new people coming out for this awesome game. Glad to have you on board

LoZ is awesome in general so it's all good ha ha.

And good man! You actually clicked the link! (No telling how many people actually do, you were the first to directly say something to me about it ) Death Note is an awesome anime, so I'm sure you'll enjoy that thriller.

Yeah I got away from video games in general during high school, but I started back up in college. I admit for some reason when I was younger I thought people saw me as lame and nerdy because I played video games and watched anime, but lately I've begun to realize that I shouldn't let what other people think keep me from doing what I like. I think I only know 2 ppl who play smash nowadays, hopefully I can meet more people here. Thanks!

Yeah I've been told I need to watch it, but I need to get started on Full Metal Alchemist first, its been on my list for far too long XD. I've always wanted a theme song, but I'm torn between like 5 songs XD I'll be sure to check out Death Note someday.

Omggg FMA <3

If you're focusing in on the story, I'd watch FMA: Brotherhood if I were you. FMA steers away from the original story in the manga after like the first 10 episodes. It was still good though, so you can watch it if you'd like. But I'm definitely recommending that you watch FMA: Brotherhood.

As for theme songs, I may be the only one around the forums with one...well, at least possibly the first to include one in their signature

I intend on watching both, I've been told both are really good, my friend told me to watch FMA before Brotherhood, so I guess I'm going to do that XD. You're the only one with a theme song huh? Guess that makes you the cool kid on the block :shades:
