Im confused about what people are saying about smash bros

I don't believe that Sakurai has ever said that this will be his last Smash game, however there is good reason to believe that it will. Sakurai left Hal Laboratory to become an independent developer. I doubt that Sakurai would want to work on one franchise for nintendo after leaving to become an independent designer. He's obviously trying to pour everything he can into Brawl to make it the best Smash game. He's going to want to work on new games afterwards, that is probable why he became an independent developer, so he could utilize his creative freedom.

Then again, there is a question of what is going to happen to the company that created to make Brawl.

That's not the point of this thread. It's asking if Brawl will be Sakurai's last game, not if it will be the last Smash game

That won't work. Prime example of this is Crash Bandicoot and Spyro

I hope sakurai will make a next sequel but if he doesnt then thats his choice and i respect it because then we would have plenty of new creative games from him..
