Hiya,

I'll be in Northern California (Eureka to be exact) soon, and I was just wondering if anyone happens to know of some good BRAWL tourneys nearby that area?

That's eureka right there.

I'll be around from July 17th - August 7th.

GET AT MY BIKER WARIO!

Thanks for any help!

Right in the middle of nowhere. Thats like a 5 hour drive to San Francisco and 12 hour drive to LA. Youre going to miss the only big tournament happening in SF by a week (BIO 4), but there should be something happening there at least each weekend. Oregons another option if youre already able to get to SF.

Also I dont think brawl players really post in this area of the boards.

Well what areas do they post in? D: I don't really know where else to turn, I thought Norcal had a decent scene.

And yea I figured I was too far up north for anything. I wouldn't mind Oregon, it might be more pleasant, but like Isaid I don't know where to look.

I saw one tourney in Santa Rosa, that's a 4 hour drive, but I'm still not sure how it'd work out with my grandparents, it takes nearly a half hour just to get down the **** hill they live on LOL.

Norcal and socal both have strong brawl scenes, they just dont post because its mostly melee people and theyre sorta mean here :(. Norcal is generally centered around the bay area, and people will usually travel there. However, there are a lot of smaller active areas throughout CA, so it's likely theres one near you that most people who aren't there aren't as aware of. Your best bet is to get in contact with someone who holds or goes to smashfests and tournaments often, and if youll need a ride someone close to you or along their way to the bay area. Same for Oregon. I'll see what I can do to help you out as far as Cali goes, remind me if you still need help and I dont get back to you in a few days. For Oregon youll have to find out who plays there yourself.

Oh yeah, AIB helps also if you havent checked there already. Especially for tournaments.

Yea, there are pretty much NO tournaments here whatsoever (as far as I know)

I wish somebody would start some :(.

Dude

1.) Grandparents are there. Instant win for many reasons:

one, they are my favorite and practically only relatives that I'm close to besides my dad since my mom passed away

two they make the best freaking food

three they live in a beautiful country side with lots of land that they own, a pond, hot tub, and lots of space

2.) I'm not flying I'm taking a train ride, so we're going to see the sights. A bit. lol. 3 days of train travel, we GOTTA see something, amirite?

Anyways its not like I wouldn't want to go to SoCal and rep the MW there for some good tourney action, but some things are more important in life. Still, I wouldn't doubt my grandparents ability to take me places, so if I can somehow get some good leads on brawl tourneys in central/north Cali, that'd be swell.
