Ike's up-special

Did anyone else notice how high Ike jumps when doing his up-special move?
Look.

Notice the platform he is on.

Now look how far away he is from the platform at the height of his up-special.

Any thoughts?

Meh. Based on what we've seen so far, everyone seems to have improved B-Up distance.

Another thing to keep in mind is Ike may not be able to DI until he catches Ragnell.

plus the fact that he comes down right after going up, so it will be a tricky recovery move

It may go that high because he may not start his ascent until the sword reaches peak, and if he's falling will the sword float at the max point of when he started it or when he finishes?

A lack of horizontal distance probably compensates for the abnormal height achieved.
