Just to state before my criticism, I love Ikaruga. I think it's truly a spectacular and challenging game. I love the polarity system and the imaginative bosses.
Now, for anyone who has played this game, you know that it just went too far with the difficulty, which is fine. I'm always up for a challenge, but I cannot even beat this game....on normal difficulty. That may be because I have yet to play it single player. I awlays play 2 player with my friend, who dies an exorbitant amount and takes all my lives. We can't even beat stage 3. I shudder with fear at what must await us in stage 5. It's just impossible, we've tried 50 ****ing times and cannot do it. Hard mode would just be undoable for us, even the first stage.
