If you look at all the stages...

...does it look to you like Sakurai is making Brawl with professional players in mind? I mean, almost every stage so far has been a standard stage with a few floating platforms or just a long, flat bridge. Maybe pros won't be left out after all. Just speculation.

I think we'll get more stages that are "legit" than in Melee. Espically because we'll get more stages (I'm thinking around 50). PLus we'll get a lot of retro stages. I have a feeling we'll have like 15-20 levels on random, which is great, I'm tired of having like only 6 or w/e stages on random.

i dont really care if you are allowed to play stages at a tournament but it wouldnt be bad if they would.

One of the biggest reason courses aren't allowed in tounries is becuase of something that damages. So far, Bride of Eldin is the only one that we know can deal damage(Lylat Cruiser might). So, he may just be making the couuses a lot calmer.

Tourny's shouldn't ban BoE unless the King does significant damage or if he pops in frequently..

Aren't walk off stages banned too?

Yeah, and didn't you see how the WHOLE FREAKING bridge can collapse? BoE will be banned without a doubt.

no serious tournaments will be online. Especially if online play is laggy (which it probably will be), even if it isn't, there won't be ways to identify and other important things for a tournament. What would be great, however, is if there's an option to turn off stage interference. Like turning off the King so he never comes in. I know we can all think of some stages that would be way better if we could turn off the stage interferences.

Edit: is there a thread that talks about an option like that? There should be...

Lol at some n00b thinking he's winning cash in his online tourney and then not getting paid.

The only online tourney's that work is CPL/CAL and MLG. If MLG doesn't host online tourney's (which they probabley wont since Brawl's online by itself is gonna suck ***) then don't expect "good" tourney's.

Go outside.

Er...there were over a dozen of those types of stages in Melee too. As a matter of fact, the following stages were either flat, or had floating plaforms:

Kongo Jungle
Jungle Japes
Yoshi's Story
Yoshi's Island
Fountain of Dreams
Green Greens
Brinstar
Pokemon Stadium
Mushroom Kingdom
Flat Zone
Kongo Jungle
Yoshi's Island Past
Dream Land
Final Destination
Battlefield

That's almost half.

'Boring' levels are competetive levels.
He's not going to hype everyone up for the game by revealing the 'boring' levels.

i don't think they will be making very many "standard" levels anymore. it looks like destructible stages are becoming the new fad

I'm pretty sure there will be a good variety of stages in Brawl... stages with no hazards like FD or Battlefield, stages with moving or destructible platforms, scrolling stages, stages with lots of hazards, etc. This game is not made JUST for the relatively small percentage who play competitively and want to omit all of the random, chaotic elements that make these games great.

I consider games where 5 or more charecter can win tournamnets balenced.

That leaves SSBM.

Mortal kombat does not have tourneys cuz it's garbage.

Marvel vs Capcom is a peice of **** infinate fest. where everybody uses the same team (aside from sometimes chageing 1 character out of 3 occasinoly)

Trubo's good as long as Akuma's banned. That leaves Ryu,T Hawk, Ken and Chun Li.

Virtua Fighter 2 on the saturn is balenced IIRC. I was little when I played it though so I may not have been using good techniques.

Guitly Gear seems "Okay".

All in all nothing Beats SSBM.

EDIT: Wow I forgot SSB 64. That game is balenced except maybe a few charecters suck.

EDIT2: And soul calibur is a button mashing garbage game. At least 2 is. Same with tekken. And tekken players are *******s to boot. Come to think of it everyone who plays fighting games other then SSB Players are complete idiots who think they play the best "Type of Game".
I don't think you're in the position to call anyone a noob.

Have you been in any tournament? Do you have any videos? Have you played/beat professional players? No...you haven't.

I'm almost positive that a major percentage of the people in the Brawl forums are non competative(Just by judging from these post like OMG Marth iz cheap!!! etc.).No one here should be calling anyone noobs at all, because the probability that anyone here has been to a frequent amount of tournaments is slim to none.

So ToXn,I would suggest you just shut up,because you are in no position to call someone out, because you lack knowledge yourself.
