This is a stupid hypothetical situation because if you are in a perilous situation where you WILL lose 3 important people in your life and you had to make a choice, you would not be rational, and the remaining person would have to much to live up to because they're alive because others died.

Yep. But the funny thing is, I imagined the same scenario as I was posting this

I'd save whichever seemed to want to live the most. If they were both yelling at me to save them, then I'd pick the one I liked the most. If it's a girlfriend I plan to spend the rest of my life living with, then I'd save her. She has more life to live than my mother at 61 years old, so it seems like the fair choice. If it's a girlfriend I don't plan to marry, then I'd save my Mom.
