If There Was Custom Music...

Custom music is something I've personally wanted for a while (without having to mod) in Smash Bros. Now, let's just say, for fun, that there's a function in-game that allows you to change the Menu music, stage music, victory themes, etc. via music in the SD card. Alongside this, you could also have the music change at a set time during battle.

To put it simply, what themes would you have in your 3DS/Wii U to further personalize your Smash experience? I'll start off simple:

On the menu, I'd have this:

And if a game is close to ending, the music would change to:

Now, let's get to berating everyone's taste posting music!

I would set the Final Destination music to the closing song from the second season of my favorite anime; Death Note.

The entire soundtracks to Wind Waker, Twilight Princess; FE: Path of Radiance, Shadow Dragon, and Awakening; The Last Story; Xenoblade.

If the 3DS allowed such a feature, almost everyone would use it if they didn't get the songs they wanted to listen. Of course, we can only hope. If by some miracle this happens in a future update for the 3DS, you can expect to see everyone using custom musics.

Finally, Smash could get some Pokemon Coliseum/XD music.
Literally every track in those games is great.

I'd probably find the closest thing to a haunted castle and throw on some music from Castlevania: Judgment

Because the music was the good part of that game.

Otherwise, I'd replace all Sonic music with City Escape, make sure Fire Emblem Melee was a song option on the 3DS, and so on.

Because the Project M team did it right. This is my current Battlefield song in PM and the menu music. So catchy and it just gets you pumped to play. This would be the song for my main menu on the 3DS.
