One complaint about Mii's is their varying sizes. Mii's are more viable under tiny size, but many feel they should be restricted only to the default size. Considering how none of the Mii's with full customization (no size and moveset restrictions) are as good as the best character in the game (Shiek), I don't feel they should be restricted to a worse size if they're forced to use only one size. There are advantages to average sized Mii's, but it's pretty unanimous that Mii's are more competitively viable characters when they're tiny. While I'm fine having both tiny and medium sized Mii's legal, there seems to be a desire to have one size be the standard. If we were to have one size become the standard, which size should that be?
A lot of people use the argument about possible delays at tournaments from people needing to create a tiny Mii, but if that became the standard, then it would be expected for every Wii U to have a tiny Mii on their system. That expectation would be similar to how it's expected for setups to have all the legal stages and characters both unlocked and purchased, so I don't see why that would be a problem in the long run.
