Smash 3DS If Smash 3DS was "standalone" from Smash U...

(As in exclusive characters, completely different stages and aesthetics, different-working engine, developed in a different timeframe, potentially partially outsourced to another developer to save resources...)

Would you still dislike it or would you accept it more?

Judging by everyone here, I'd say you would all dislike it. It still would've been a waste of resources and people would complain that it still takes away from Smash U even though it was explicitly standalone.

I personally would have seen more worth to buying it.

Would be sort of pointless to release two games with the same title but completely different substance.... This question is a bit redundant. Schrodingers smash if you will lol..
I'd immediately call it pointless and gaff at it to no end, but would absolutely buy it because.... smashlife bruh..
That would be most of our sentiments. There's always going to be people standing on both sides of the fence.

You mean like how there's Super Smash Bros Melee and Super Smash Bros Brawl? Okay...

Those weren't released at the same time and didn't compete for player's dollars against each other. They were released years apart.

So Smash 3DS could have been released a little over two years later or earlier than Smash U. At that point, there would be little interference because the sales of the earlier game would've been steadied enough.

Plus, there is the whole appeal of a portable Smash that people were requesting until Smash 3DS was announced, ironically.

Yeah, and after Smash 3DS was announced and unveiled, most people started to hate on it.

As for the topic question, I'd rather have the game like it is, to be honest.

i personally wouldnt like this considering it was only meant to be one game but on 2 platforms BUT if they were different games im pretty sure the 3ds crowd would feel annoyed because i view the 3ds version to be the cheaper version and if i had enough money i would buy the wii u
