If Nintendo released a Smash 4 demo...

What would you want/expect it to be like?

I'd think if it was a public demo we'd have 4 characters and 2 stages and it would only be for the WiiU version as the two games are almost entirely different and the HD graphics impress the vain public more.

Mario, Pikachu, Pit, Wii Fit Trainer/Mega Man (depends on Capcom)

If we got a demo I could see us getting anywhere from 4 to 8 playable characters. Depending on how generous they would want to be. (Mario, Link, Kirby, Fox, Samus, Villager, Pikachu and Sonic/Megaman would be the eight most likely candidates. Possibly Marth if he's going to be a starter)

We'd probably get 3 to 5 stages, again depending on how generous they want to be.

Although if they wanted to make a splash they could reveal a new character/stage directly through the demo.

I would think the 8 characters that appeared after a franchise name in the trailer (Mario, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pit, DK, Pika) with Bowser, and the 3 newcomers with probably 4-5 stages would be in. Sure that be a lot of characters, but remember Brawl had a lot of demo characters too. The stages will be few in numbers this time, but it'd be difficult knowing there's 2 systems this game will be on; WiiU and 3ds respectively. Of course, I expect to see 1 exclusive stage on each system to show off the uniqueness.

And remember, an event only demo would be easier to set up so an E3 demonstration for example.

I would say Mario, Pikachu, Link, Samus, Kirby, Donkey Kong, WFT and Megaman as playable characters with Battlefield and Smashville (if that is the name of the new Animal Crossing stage) as stages with items being bombs, X-bombs and laser swords.

I'd be happy with demo that only had Mario or Mega Man. Any demo for this game would make me happy. But Nintendo please stop with the the whole 30 tries for a demo nonsense.

Best case scenario I would like to see four characters Mario, Megaman, one other new character, and one other returning character. 2-3 stages, some items, and a stock option not just timed matches. Possibly online play with those characters and stages.

The Demo would be just like competitive. Fox mirror, no items, battlefield. I actually do think that Battlefield would be the only stage though.

How many stages were in the E for All demo? There were, like, 14 characters. Just replicate that with the new characters and stages.

If Smash 4 had a demo, then I want every single confirmed character and stage to be featured. I want to try out the new Bowser and the newcomers for myself as well as seeing what other potential changes the characters had.

For a demo, I'd personally like to see Mario, Link, Bowser, Pikachu and Villager, with Battlefield being the only stage available. But I'd personally wait, even though it's the only game I'm hyped up for on the Wii U.

A perfect demo would include just the Wii Fit Trainer with Battlefield as the only level. Only one item would be included and it would be an empty capsule.

You also gotta remember, demos on the Wii-U and 3DS have limited uses. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate had like 30 uses before you couldn't play it afterwards. Though other demos could have VERY limited uses, like Project X Zone's demo which only had like 5 friggin uses.

The thing I would care the most for is having a training mode.

And I'll be extremely happy.

Mega Man, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer and any other newcomer need to remain a mystery.
Pikmin & Olimar, Peach, Luigi, Toon Link, Sonic and Marth would be way too much to include for a demo, and they should be saved for the actual game.

Same goes for the rest of the levels revealed.
This demo needs to be basic, so I don't get spoiled for the game, I just get a taste for it and want more.
