If Claus was announced would it be safe to say that Ness is pretty much out of the equation of returning to the brawl roster or do you think they would actually have 3 MOTHER reps?

I think if Claus was announced and not Ness than I don't think Ness is coiming back why? Cuz there's no way MOTHER will get 3 reps when franchises like Metroid,Donkey Kong, and Starfox(just to name a few) are sitting with only 1 or 2 characters. What do you think?

I kind of agree with what you say, but I don't believe Claus or a second Mother rep will be announced anytime soon... I'm waiting til the game is released for them.

That's the most stupid argument against Claus I have ever read, if you get two reps from Mother 3, having another rep from Mother 2 doesn't make sense, is that simple.

Hm...I guess I'm just focusing too much on the similarities. I can't deny that what you say has some validity, so I guess we'll just call it a wash.

i don't necessarily think so. i guess my opinion is a little biased because i'm a big fan of the mother series, but i think that even though a series like donkey kong is much more popular and well known, it lacks plausible characters. lucas, claus and ness are all character with possibly unique movesets and a lot of fan support. while donkey kong characters don't have quite the same chance ...you don't see too much support for ...funky kong.

mario has like 4 or 5 reps. zelda has 4 or 5 reps. pokemon has 5+ reps. the mother series deserves way more than just 2 reps!! I'm curious as to how many people have actually played Mother/earthbound!!!
