I'm pretty sure that the reason the file exploit exists is because of a flaw with the console, not the game itself. It's already been shown that a Wii U running in Wii mode can be tricked into running Project M, so no, probably not.

Also. Even if they could patch it out it wouldn't stop people from playing the game on the Wii.
