if Apex was best of 3 at top 8, instead of best of 5, before finals, who would win

if any of you saw Apex top 8, you'd know that they changed matches to be best of 5. i'm just curious who would've made it and who wouldve lost

Incorrect, Dabuz would've lost to m2k. They were 2-0 before Dabuz switched to olimar and won the best of 5. We likely would've seen a repeat of m2k vs zero earlier.

Best of 5 isn't just a longer best of 3, it gives people more time to adapt and make decisions like Dabuz did.

The mental game going into a bo5 is very different from a bo3, you can't tell what would have changed just looking at the results of their first 2 or 3 games. Stage counterpicking is different, character counterpicking is different, even "how much time do I have to adjust to his gameplan?" is completely different.
