Idea for a Kirby Mod

I was doing something and came up with an idea for a Kirby mod. Gengar is my favorite Pokemon ever and Meta skin Kirby made me think about him. So the idea or rather the question is could Kirby be transformed into Gengar? When I pictured him, it's basically Sonic Kirby but with red eyes while his hat and body are purple. Instead of the Homing Attack neutral he copies from Sonic, he has Shadow Ball from Mewtwo. Can any of you modders let me know if it could work or help me in trying to bring this idea to reality?
