There hasn't been much out of me lately, so I'm giving you guys a team to rate. I was kinda tutoring this guy on Shoddy, and we ended up making this team together:

It's a team consisting of sheer annoyance, good defensive typing and play, and a few Sweepers just for old-school KO'ing.

======================================================

Bronzong - "SilverBellz" @ Leftovers
Adamant / Levitate
EVs - 244 HP, 132 Def, 132 SpDef
~Explosion
~Payback / Gyro Ball
~Hypnosis
~Stealth Rock

New lead. Bronzong is immune to any Ground assault, making it able to come in on the Earthquakes hoping to take down Heatran, and it can take a good number of hits, period. I have Payback so that Spiritomb doesn't completely stop me (being immune to Explosion and taking minimal damage from Gyro Ball is quite a pain), plus all other Ghosts are faster than Zong and will take SE damage as well as Payback's own effect. Stealth Rock and Hypnosis have their obvious purposes. Gyro on the side.

Abomasnow - "Everfrost" @ Leftovers
Impish / Snow Warning
EVs - 196 HP, 100 Att, 104 Def, 108 SpDef
~Wood Hammer
~Protect
~Leech Seed
~Ice Shard

Every Hail team practically needs to start with Abomasnow, but mine doesn't anymore. Wood Hammer for massive STAB, and Leech Seed + Lefties should recover any recoil damage I would take from the attack. Protect for some free recovery, and a bit of scouting. Ice Shard for priority on Dragons with Fire Blast/Punch/Fang.

Tentacruel - "Oozebag" @ Black Sludge
Bold / Liquid Ooze
EVs - 204 HP, 100 Def, 204 SpDef
~Surf
~Hidden Power [Electric]
~Knock Off / Rapid Spin
~Toxic Spikes

After several matches of Toxifusion + Attraction refusing to work, I just decided to go with my normal set of Surf / HP Elec / Knock Off / T Spikes. I have Rapid Spin on the side because SpikeRock doesn't bother me too much; but if it grows to be a nuisance, say hello to Rapid Spin!

Lapras - "Sirenade" @ Leftovers
Bold / Water Absorb
EVs - 252 HP, 128 Def, 128 SpDef
~Whirlpool
~Thunderbolt / Blizzard
~Perish Song
~Substitute

PerishPooling was one of my favorite things to do in GSC, and so I have revived it! Thunderbolt rids me of Gyarados, Empoleon, Skarmory, etc. (Taunters and pHazers). Blizzard can be used instead of T-bolt for STAB and the 100% Accuracy in Hail. Water Absorb is there to replenish my surely-to-be-low-HP by switching into the inevitable Surfs coming Mamo and ******'s way.

Heatran - "MetalMouth" @ Choice Scarf
Hasty / Flash Fire
EVs - 32 Att, 252 SpAtt, 224 Spd
~Lava Plume
~Dragon Pulse
~Earth Power
~Explosion

I came up with a funny name for this ******: P4 Tran (Plume, Pulse, Power, 'Plosion)
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!
Heatran has all-around coverage, and is awesome for being able to come in on the multiple Fire attacks coming for Zong and Snow, and for sweeping right afterwards (it also outruns Adamant ScarfCross!!!) I have Lava Plume to make up for my loss in Defense, and Dragon Pulse for Waters that are trying to switch into Plume or expecting HP Ice; Explosion for a spectacular finish.

Mamoswine - "Frostbite" @ Life Orb
Jolly / Snow Cloak
EVs - 4 HP, 252 Att, 252 Spd
~Earthquake
~Stone Edge
~Ice Shard
~Bite

Physical Sweeper. I went Jolly so I can outspeed some stuff, while Life Orb boosts my power significantly. Anyway, EdgeQuake with Ice Shard covers everything but Bronzong, which Bite allows for a little damage before switching out. Bite also smacks Gengar and friends hard for coming in on Earthquake. I switched to Life Orb because I don't need my only two sweepers to both be Choiced.

======================================================

Well, that's (technically) our Hail team.
Rate away, friends!

I can see it now: "What?! No Stallrein?!"

Great team! The weaknesses are covered very well. Could you at least tell us the Pokemon's purpose? i.e: Choice Bander, Support, etc.

Yeah, I accidently hit Post Thread rather than Preview Thread, so all you saw were my Pokes ^^;

Fixed that though...

Check out my Hail team! http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?p=4095006

Abomasnow:

Personally, I dislike subseeding on leads because subseeding only works late in the game. At best, you'll bring him in just for Hail then switch out. I don't see this thing handling many common leads well. IMO, Wood Hammer over Focus Punch. Also, Bulkmasnow doesn't take super effective hits well. Protect may help aid your leech seeding more than substitute because of your lack of speed. If you run into a random poke with a random super effective Hidden Power, you may not have enough HP leftover to sub. These are just my past experiences with subseeding.

Tentacruel:

This looks more like a novelty set. Water Pulse's confusion rate isn't as reliable as one would hope. Only a meager 20%. Go with Surf. If you're using this on Shoddy, expect most of your foes to be Male (except for me, all the pokes I use on Shoddy are Female ~_^). Another attacking move like Sludge Bomb or Ice Beam could go over Attract. Heck, you could even try Mirror Coat if your opponent has nothing but special sweepers left. In the end, I can't help but see you switching back to your normal set.

Lapras:

Perish Song just doesn't cut it out for me. Luckily for you, your whole team is pretty bulky. Substitute should work out well assuming that you Perishpool slower threats. IMO, go with Thunderbolt. Your Lapras' name may give away your strategy here.

Bronzong:

Again, your name will give away your strategy. I really think you should use this as your lead instead and bring in Abomasnow later for a surprise. This is a common strategy with Sandstorm teams so why not try it with Hail? At least this way, you're guaranteed to Hail over the Sandstorm if they lead with Hippowdon. You each could set-up then Hail away the Sand after their Sand Streamer is defeated. Or you could Hail away their sand then use Wood Hammer to kill their Sand Streamer on the switch in. I would use Gyro Ball. Your set is generic enough.

Heatran:

You'll find your lack of versatility to be frustrating. This guy is only good for late game sweeps when you know what Pokemon your foe has left and for defeating my team. Nothing in my Hail team handles scarftran. Unless I magically hit critical hits on my all of my Ice Shards.

Mamoswine:

Bite on mamo is lol. I don't see this guy doing much outside of Ice Sharding. You'd have to know what your opponent has on his team in order to predict properly. Just so you know, Jolly Mamo is faster than Modest/Adamant Lucario. Finding this out would require ridiculous prediction, unless you already know your opponent's moveset. Extremespeed/close combat/crunch/swords dance lucario is probably adamant.

I like this team a lot. I'd love to battle against it sometime.

Updatified...

Switched lead to Zong, changed Mamo to a Jolly Life Orb sweeper.

Not much else.

No more opinions?

Yeah, Tentecruel. Im thinking it needs Rapid Spin. You remember that spikes sweep? I do. Rapid Spin. Do it.

Mamoswine doesn't need to be Jolly, the things(Singular? is there anything other than Lucario that matters?) you outspeed won't really matter and isn't the whole point of Ice Shard to NOT need speed? And even if you DO outspeed Lucario they usually run Extreme Speed/Vacuum Wave so they get priority over you anyways. Also, its entirely possible to take down 'Zong with Mamoswine, but you'd have to change to this set:

Mamoswine@Leftovers
Adamant/Snow Cloak
124Hp/252atk/68def/64spdef
Curse
Ice Shard
EQ
Avalanche

Bulky enough to take hits from the relatively weak Bronzong(and plenty of other things) and can Curse to DECREASE damage from Gyro Ball then Avalanche for way more damage than bite. Personally, I prefer Curseswine simply cus Mamoswine really isn't fast enough to fit the "Sweeper" category. With this you get lots of power, can take a hit or two and can actually come in for a late game sweep. Plus, Bulkiness+Snow Cloak is always a good thing. With this you're not walled by Zong(You can actually use it to your advantage by setting up on it) and can boost your power to higher than that of what Life Orb would give you.

Try it out, if you don't like it you can always switch back.

Welcome to the forums, Hitori. Your humor is not appreciated here.

Regarding the curseswine, you're not going to get a lot of coverage with just ice and ground attacks. Bite at least hits for neutral damage against zong and avalanche would only hit for greater damage after you curse a zillion times. Though Jolly swine loses a chunk of power, you really shouldn't be fighting anything that resists ground or is vulnerable to your attacks. In addition, Hail should rack up enough passive damage to finish off your foe should they survive. Lucario is very good at ****** ice teams. Vacuum wave shouldn't be strong enough to KO mamo in one hit, if at max hp.

Yes, I remember the SpikeSweep. It was utterly humiliating, and my whole posse saw it

Ignore him...my little brother...
Halo fanatic...

As for the "don't go Jolly" thing, I'm concerned about (non-Scarfed) Heatran. It has 77 Base Speed IIRC, and Mamo has 80. If I was Adamant, and should they run +Speed Natures with Maximimum EVs, Mamo would be toast. I guess I am a bit overpredictive, but my ****** can't take a well-predicted Earth Power when hoping for a Fire Blast, and should they predict that I switch to something immune or resistant to Earth Power (Zong and Snow), Fire Blast would roast them to nothing. If Mamo is faster, then I don't have to worry about it at all. And thus, a Jolly nature.

Vacuum Wave left me with about 13%, I don't really remember lol...

erm... Actually, I was encouraging Jollyswine ^^

Your team is looking better and better every time I see it. I have my doubts on Lapras though, would you mind telling me a mini warstory on how it has performed? =P I never really experienced perishpooling personally before.

My comment was actually directed towards Reaper...

Here's a general use of it:

See Blissey, Sub. It attacks with T-Wave or Seismic Toss.
I use Whirlpool. It attacks again.
Perish Song. More S-Toss.
Sub until the Perish Count is down to one, then switch.
Dead Blissey. :chuckle:

It's also useful for ending the game. Like when the foe only has one Poke left, and I have two or three healthy enough to take attacks.

Cool thing about Perish Song: it goes through Subs :p
