Smash Wii U I want to start a Smash scene in Miami, Florida

I was thinking about going to CEO to compete... but I'm starting to think that may be a bad idea. Not only because it would be my first ever tournament, but my dad is the only person who could take me. And a part of me says that he would be really disappointed because of the nature of this game. And I heard about Arcade Odyssey but not only is that super late at night and I don't have a drivers license yet, but I don't even think the people over there are even active now. Needless to say... I'm in one heck of a pickle. So does anyone have ideas on what I could do?
