I suck at smash *sad trombone*

Hi guys my name is Stephen, if I had a tag it would be Macbeth but that was taken and I dont do numbers I guess. I've been playing smash all of my life, but never well. I like used x and y as my jump buttons when I first started playing when I was like 6 but then for whatever reason switched to using the control stick lol idk. Ever since I got smash for 3ds Ive been putting a lot of work into my skill but For Glory can only get you so far with tech skill so I wanted to meet some friends to play with. I don't have a Wii U but I bought the dlc for 3ds and that's my **** o.o I main Cloud I suppose but as of right now I have a hankering to learn Duck Hunt because his walk animation is really funny. My life outside of smash is mainly music based, I play several instruments, am in marching band, and plan to major in music education. I like women a lot, if you know any let me know. My main instrument is bass and trombone, I play bass in my school's jazz band. I'm from New Jersey. I want to be best at smash bros on 3ds lol cause Im poor. Hit me up though.

If you want to get better at these games, the first thing you should do is ditch the control stick for jumping and go back to the X or Y buttons. Trust me, you'll need the stick for tilts and whatnot.

Secondly, NEVER use FG to get better (or be like most of us here and just never use FG. Ever. For any reason.). Like you said, playing with others here will help you.

Welcome to Smashboards! There's no reason why you should need to play a sad trombone, everybody who plays Smash was bad at some point (including myself). Just practice, practice, and practice, and you'll be much better in no time.

Oh lol no I do use y for jump now, and mapped my grab to x. But thank you for the advice about for glory, I just need people to play with you know?
