how did cort beat azen.
i know corts amazing and
i've heard cort say he ***** marth
but i always figured at the highest levels of play marth > peach
so someone please describe in detail the set

poor cort
always got 4th place
never got the top 3 he deserved

Uh, maybe cause cort plays other characters than peach as well? xD

He's one of the few peach players that can play other chars on high level too and he's really good with them I think. And cort's peach owns anyway, the best way to fight peach is to play m2k style and azen is more mindgame oriented, so I wouldn't be suprised if cort's peach beat azen's marth on pound 3, though I can't confirm.

But on your first paragraph you asked how cort managed to beat azen, so I provided some theorised answers to that question. If cort beat azen's marth with his peach, then cort being better than azen and having loads of marth expertise and azen's style not the best possible way to handle peaches on cort's level would be the most plausible answer. If cort beat azen with his other chars, then cort is simply just better player. Most probably you won't find many that recall the set that accurately, prolly even cort has forgotten the details. So you'd need vids but seeing as they're not publicly available... >_>

Most probably the latter, but unless he lost he wasn't fooling since he can use both proficently, at least that's what I think since he uses other chars proficently too. But most probably wasn't going 100% out on pools in any case, just to safe his endurance and performance to bracket.
