I need some console/game-selling advice

Since I discovered Project M, the Wii U and 3DS I had, both mainly used for SSB, have been gathering dust. I'm already in the process of selling the consoles on Ebay and posted in the r/smashbros reddit (as the main attraction is both consoles and both versions of SSB4) but I wanted some advice on where best to advertise my sellings. I also was wondering if anybody could give me good estimates on how much I could get for everything (aside from the consoles as I already know how much I can sell them for):

  • Sm4sh 3DS
  • Sm4sh WiiU
  • Wii U Pro Controller
  • Mayflash GC-WiiU/PC Adapter
  • Super Mario 3D World
  • the Mewtwo DLC codes
I'd estimate I could get somewhere around $150 assuming all of them sold for around 3/4th their original price each (as there is literally nothing wrong with any of it, I just only need my Mayflash 2-controller adapter to play PM).

Also, while this is mainly a help thread, I ain't saying no to any potential buyers as long as said buyers have Paypal and can pay S&H fees.

If this is the wrong section or breaking any rules, I apologize ahead of time (I looked through the forum over-all rules and found nothing against it specifically), and thanks for any assistance.

No straight up advertising, but we'll keep this strictly as a help thread. 3/4ths of their original price is pretty good. The Mewtwo DLC codes, not sure if I'd sell that separately. Bundling it with the copy of Smash 4 Wii U might be a better option. If anything, I suggest bundling the game, mayflash adapter, and Mewtwo DLC code in one sale.

Sounds good, around how much should I sell all that for? $75? $80? I'm thinking since the Mayflash Adapters go for like $45 by themselves this might be a bit low

I think the Maylash adapters goes for under 20 dollars actually? I'd try to go with 75 dollars first and see how that does. 65-70 might be the sweet spot to get people to buy it though. We don't know how much Mewtwo would cost as DLC, but you can pretend it offsets the lower cost of your Smash 4 copy being a used copy. So in my mind, a used Smash 4 + Mewtwo DLC would be 55 dollars. 15 dollars would go to the Mayflash making it a total of 70.

The 2-port PC only go for $15, the 4-ports GC-WiiU/PC ones go for $25 according to Ebay.

Also, what should I say about the DLC then? It won't give a code until most likely around next month or May.

Is Project M really that good?
Yes, project M is quite enjoyable. I split my time between 4 and PM because they're both fantastic.

Also, to help you with your situation, I'd recommend maybe Craigslist? I sold my Xbox One on there to a pretty reliable guy and got about $360 for it. Granted it came with like 5 games but for how much I disliked it, I thought that was a pretty good price.

Also remember if you decide to use CL, pick and choose who you sell to. If they sound sketchy, they probably are.

I got some questions about Craigslist for you then, as I was interested in selling there.

Alright, so, I recently put up some of my stuff on Ebay and my 3DS sold. The problem is I didn't know that A. there was a fee for printing out the postage that Ebay gives you, which is like $7 for the 3DS, and B that I had to wait 21 days to actually get the money sent via Paypal (I chose Paypal because I have one and it's the easiest way to do money-related transactions). Does Craigslist support Paypal? Would I get the money sooner than almost a month?

The thing about Craigslist is that it's more of an advertisement site, and the way you pay is up to you.
If you decided to do Paypal, you'd have to most likely just do it as an outside transaction and ship it. I believe paypal is free and instant as long as your bank account is confirmed and linked to your Paypal profile. If not, the process takes a day or two. It's not bad.

The most effective way IMO is to just do the transaction in person in a safe place. Like, I talked to the guy over the phone and then had him come over to my house while my parents were both home to pick up the Xbox.

So like I said, pick and choose who you deal with. I had a guy call me to try and buy it before I ended up selling it to the other guy. He no showed, then called me and tried to hardcore haggle (he asked if he could buy the Xbox for $200 without the cables........) so obviously I didn't sell it to him haha.

Thanks for the info, homie, do you know anything about Ebay? I still got a question that I couldn't really find the answer to on their help pages.

Any time, my friend. Unfortunately, my knowledge of Ebay is very limited. The few times I've used it have not been pleasant experiences haha. I much prefer Amazon.

Would you happen to know if you get payment as soon as the item in question arrive for the seller? I'd really hate if the money is literally kept from me for 21 days even though my shipment should get to their house by this weekend.

Also, I really only use it because it works with paypal, so I can easily convert my TF2 stuff into Paypal cash into IRL stuff.

as long as you price it reasonably you ll get a buyer. If go to above $250, that wont be worth it. If its 150$ for all that. Its a bargain price that even I wouldnt turn down myself.

Good to know. I've gotten a hilarious offer for Sm4sh Wiiu + the adapter ($45, even though I'm selling it for $75 currently), but I might sell them all separately for ease.

What would be fair prices for the Pro Controller and SM3D World? Also, would selling the 3DS copy and my Fox amiibo be worth around $45?
