It's probably best to -not- approach Marth since FSmash eats face. You could always try a SH Flame or Full Jump Flame if that doesn't work. Marth doesn't have projectiles though so you should just wait for him to approach as you're generally better off being approach over approaching imo.

Do not approach a marth, let a marth approach you and try sidestepping the Fsmash and fortressing him up into a combo

If you have to approach, run up and grab him. If the Marth has godly reflexes, you will only get hit with some unsweetspotted garbage attack. If the Marth is typical, he will shield or jump away, and both scenarios give you the advantage.
