I need a mentor D:

So in about 3-5 business days, I'll be receiving my Ethernet adapter in the mail (long story about the internet). That will be the first time I've ever played Smash against another person. I want to improve, but to be honest, I don't know how to get better (if that makes sense). It'd be kind of nice to have a more seasoned player to help me out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've been watching a lot of 1FOW1's stream and I plan on playing against him some whenever I get the chance. I know I'll get crushed, but he's really good about giving pointers after each match.

I only have the Wii U version unfortunately. I just started practicing with my Amiibo today and I think I'm already starting to learn a little. I'll have an Ethernet adapter by the end of the week so playing against real people will soon be a reality!

I'm not sure if I'd have enough time to be a full on mentor, but I'd definitely love to play with you sometime and critique from there. I'd like to think I'm pretty good at identifying negative habits and applying fundamentals, not to mention I have a bit of Yoshi knowledge.
