Last weekend my good friend Steven came over, we played Project M 3.0 and we were blown away at how brilliant it is. We can never go back to basic Brawl as we now consider 3.0 to be the definitive Super Smash Bros. experience.

My only complaint is that every so often Project M doesn't boot up properly. It's not a huge deal but I just thought I'd mention it to see if anybody else has that issue. BTW, I don't have anything else on my SD card besides Project M 3.0.

Sometimes that booting problem is caused by having replays on your card. I've found that when I have no replays saved, it works smoothly, and when I do have replays, it'll sometimes work but sometimes get stuck.

I'm glad you're loving PM! : D It's so fun!!!

Project M 3.0 is incredible! The new Training Stage alone makes it worth downloading.

Steven and I giggled like Japanese schoolgirls we had so much fun playing Project M 3.0.

When it doesn't boot up properly, it's because the SD card hasn't been recognized yet. To reduce this problem, just open up 2 or 3 menus before opening stage builder. I usually open up the replay menu and wait 5 seconds, then the album menu and wait 5 seconds, and then stage builder, and it always reliably boots up for me.

Thanks for the tip, RIDLEY.

I'll never forget the look on Steven's face when he saw Dry Bones Bowser. I thought he was going to freak. It's the little touches like that which make 3.0 so spectacular.

Here in Raleigh I've noticed that a bunch of the stores are sold out of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Maybe it's because so many are picking up Wii U's for Christmas, but it may also be because of the release of 3.0.

Or because the game has been out for six years
Couldn't be that because my local Walmart generally keeps plenty of copies of Brawl in stock. They do sometimes sell out of Mario Kart Wii but they almost always have a couple of copies of Brawl.

Now with the release of Project M 3.0 no Wii or Wii U owners should be without a copy of SSBB, IMHO.

Usually when Steven and I get together to play Super Smash Bros. Brawl we generally play some Melee and even the original SSB on the VC but now 3.0 has in many ways rendered them obsolete. Yeah, Project M is that good.

Here are some pictures from my collection so you guys will know how much I adore the Super Smash Bros. games.

I even own the Japanese SSB cartridge.

Hate to be a buzzkill and all, but I think that's pretty unlikely. The audience for Project M would moslty be people who already own Brawl.

On topic, yes, Project M 3.0 is glorious, and it's still not even finished. There's also Smash 4 on the horizon too with my boy Mega Man representing. It's a good time to be a Smash fan.

Just in case anyone is interested, I purchased my 2 GB SD card at Gamestop for just three dollars. :)

Brawl used to be the Super Smash Bros. game with the pretty graphics but Project M 3.0 has now made it the one with the best gameplay mechinics too. It's amazing what the creators of the mod have been able to accomplish and I tip my hat to their hard work and dedication.

Brawl Vault will make you **** bricks then.

Go check it out, it's wonderful what the whole modding community has been able to do with Brawl.
Simply astounding.

I agree with this to an extant, but be sure you know who's going to be playing on the system and what kind of things they like. I have one group of friends that likes the SD I set up for them that has the Hulk and Sephiroth and Winnie the Pooh and all kinds of other crazy skins, and my other group is more reserved, wanting more "professional" skins that don't seem out of place in Smash Bros. I always makes sure I have a "vanilla" SD handy with the most recent version of P:M and nothing else changed besides music, just in case someone finds my personal mods distracting.

Project M 3.0 is so effective because of the ease of use. Just download it to an SD card and you're ready to go.

There may be other mods out there but 3.0 is so good that I don't feel compelled to seek them out.

Brawl Vault isn't even a mod build, it's a resource of unlimited amounts of modding put into one website.

That's the beauty of P:M and essentially Brawl as well. You can replace any song, stage, character texture, all the way down to the stock icons and menu screens. Grant it I understand what you're saying about P:M being so friendly to play, but in the grand scheme of things it wouldn't have been possible without these types of modding and how everything is based off of something and that leads to another.
