Whenever I am public for the most part, I get really nervous and I start sweating on all parts of my body. For example, this one time I was at school walking to class and we had a fire drill outside. The entire school was outside and as we were just standing there I was in front of the line and I could not stop sweating, as soon as I sat down back in class I was fine. I'm not shy at all either which confuses the **** out of me as to why I get nervous around a large group of people I don't know.

I usually want to get out of situations like this or go sit down somewhere. However if there is at least one other person I know in events like this, I am usually fine. It's so weird though because I am not shy at ALL, I have a really outgoing personality.

♥ My post count is my age. Deal with it.
Hmm.... it is some psychological thing.
Maybe you treat any event that is not part of the everyday schedule is giving you hyped anxiety.

Probably if you treat any special event as something that happens "everyday" maybe the anxiety can go down.

You might be having a fear of the unknown happening.

Well I suffer from mild social anxiety and agoraphobia. I am pretty outgoing like you, but certain situations cause me to have panic attacks and trust me those are not fun, at all.:urg:

From what you describe, it's a very mild anxiety that is associated with large groups. Since you don't seem to have any other symptoms than sweating, I wouldn't really worry. You can work through it.

But if it bothers you, I would see a doctor and maybe he can officially diagnose it.

yeah definitely mention to your Dr. as things like this can get worse as time goes on. Lexapro works well for many things, including your symptoms but a doctor will usually approach this sort of thing with a lean towards medicine or therapy or both.

I stutter when I talk sometimes and cant even say my own name if anyone introduces themselves / asks me. Its not as bad as many people, at any rate I know about this sorta stuff.

Other than that, I dont see what the point of this blog is. You just like... stopped typing when it seems there was more you were planning on adding :/
